Do you want to put your knowledge into practice alongside your studies, during a gap year, or as a recent graduate? Do you want to take your marketing skills to the next level? Then our Marketing Specialist role might be for you! From Google Ads to online content on the Belsimpel platform and social media, you will get the chance to develop your skills in every area. The common thread of your tasks will be the marketing agreements we make with our partners, such as phone manufacturers (e.g., Samsung or Apple) and providers (e.g., KPN or Budget Mobile). From day one, you will help create marketing plans, execute them, and keep partners satisfied by demonstrating the success of campaigns in detailed reports. What do you do as a Marketing Specialist?

The Marketing team is a small and close-knit group, currently consisting of five full-timers and 13 part-timers. This team ensures that marketing agreements are managed smoothly so that our partners, currently 35 phone manufacturers, 11 providers, and more than 100 accessory manufacturers, are satisfied with our joint campaigns. Setting up and achieving successful campaigns is a significant challenge, as the telecom market is constantly changing. New players enter the market, product innovations follow rapidly, and there is fierce competition to win over Belsimpel customers.

But what does a marketing plan actually involve? Great question! The channels we use vary greatly per plan and domain. As a Marketing Specialist, you will work with a wide range of tools: from TV and radio to social media, review campaigns on Tweakers, Google Ads, and featured content on the homepages of both Belsimpel and Gomibo. Take a look for yourself—how cool is it to see your work across Europe? From Finland to Hungary and France to Spain, you serve these international customers alongside our International team.

In a nutshell: once a partner approves a plan, you enter all the details into our marketing schedule. For a social media campaign, you coordinate with one of our marketers to decide which product to highlight. You then share your creative input with the Video and Creative teams so they can develop the content. This is what makes Belsimpel's strategy unique: all campaigns are conceived and created in-house. We don't work with external agencies; we even have our own studio for TV and radio commercials. This allows you to experience every facet of marketing, from development to implementation.

Who are you?

Note: Fluency in the Dutch language is required for this role; candidates will be assessed accordingly.

• You are pursuing a WO Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and have a passion for marketing.

• You are available for 16 hours per week (or more) on weekdays between 9:00 and 18:00.

• You are enterprising, proactive, and solution-oriented. You take the lead and don't shy away from challenges.

• You are enthusiastic, curious, and want to learn a lot in a short period.

• You are accurate and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• You are analytically strong. Analyzing data doesn't scare you; you use it to find valuable insights for future campaigns.

• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus.
