The Dutch Marketing Battle is the largest Dutch recruiting event for academic students in the field of Marketing. The event is focused on students from Dutch universities who are in the final phase of their studies. The unique aspect of this event is that several well-known firms take part in the Battle, which allows considerable networking opportunities. Next to the professional part there is, of course, plenty of time for social activities and an awesome closing party.
After a CV selection, 100 students will participate in an in-house day at one of the partner companies. The in-house days take place in advance of the event, from here everyone goes through the preliminary rounds. During both the preliminaries and the finals students ‘battle’ in teams that consist of students from different universities. During the different rounds the teams work on marketing cases, after which they will present their findings to a jury. At the end of the final round, the winning team returns home with the title “Biggest marketing talent in the Netherlands” and a prize of €2000,-.
The last edition of the Dutch Marketing Battle took place on 25th and 26th February, and companies participating included Google, Canon, Unilever, Philips and Hero.

The Register Marketeer Academy (RM Academy) is a collaboration between NIMA and the Dutch Marketing Association. RM Academy, marketeers who have been working in marketing for over 15 years, provides the possibility to connect Register Marketeers with students. In this way, Register Marketeers are able to transfer their knowledge through a presentation and/or workshop to marketing students. Every session of the RM Academy is focussed on a certain theme, e.g. City Marketing, Sales in a changing world and SEO Marketing.
The RM Academy takes place 8 to 10 times a year, with a different city as host for each session. Every city which has an association connected to the Dutch Marketing Association, hosts a Register Marketing Academy at least once a year. Usually, the RM Academy is in the afternoon and evening and is accessible both for Register Marketeers and students.
