General Description

The MARUG Marketing Data Science Event presents you a nice opportunity to get more information on how marketing data science works in practice. This event is organised by the Master Marketing Team. The event is directed towards MSc Marketing Analytics and Data Science students. It is a great opportunity to meet interesting companies, who will give short presentations about who they are, what they are doing and how they work with big data.

Next to the presentations, there will be workshops hosted by the participating companies. Each student takes part in one challenging workshop in which one will be working with interesting data. After the workshops, there will be a social. Next, there will also be a recruitment dinner with the participating companies, for which you can be invited based on your CV or during the day itself.

The Marketing Data Science Event 2022 will take place on the 21st of March.

Previous Marketing Data Science Event: 2019

The Marketing Data Science Event took place on the 14th of March 2019. There were different companies who gave short presentations about who they are, what they are doing and how they work with big data. Next to these presentations, workshops were hosted by the participating companies, including Deloitte and Cmotions. Each student took part in one challenging workshop in which one worked with interesting data. The winners of the cases got to compete for €100 each at the final case provided by Loyalty Air Miles. No loss for those who did not make it to the final case, as they were inspired by the experience of MARUG alumni.

During the event, drinks and snacks were provided. After the workshops, there was a social which also included drinks and bites. After the event, there was a recruitment dinner with Loyalty Air Miles, for which you had to be invited based on your CV or during the day itself.
