General Description

The Brand Experience is an event that is part of the course Brand and Product management. This day consists of several lectures and workshops concerning the topic branding. In addition, different challenging cases are presented. Students can think, discuss and brainstorm about these cases, and in the end present their idea. The Brand Experience is organized by the Master Marketing Team (mmt@marug.nl).

Brand Experience 2016

This year, the Brand Experience took place on Thursday the 8th of December 2016. In the morning, Roeljan Buijs (MarketingYou) and Martin Grebhahn (Tesla) shared their knowledge and insights about branding by giving inspiring lectures. After lunch, several companies provided challenging workshops. The companies that were present are Be Cool Marketing, Belsimpel, Cmotions, DBK and Oxyma.

Speakers

Roeljan Buijs is a branding specialist who has his own business called MarketingYou. MarketingYou supports its clients by giving advice consults, online operations, trainings or practical design implementations. From this rich knowledge-base flows a curriculum of workshops in Personal Branding, Social Media, Dress to Impress, Young Entrepreneurship and Networking.

Martin Grebhahn, a graduate of the University of Groningen will provide the other lecture. He is passionate about marketing and he actually followed the course Brand and Product Management himself a few years ago! Currently, he works as a Sales Operations Analyst for Tesla.

We specialise in the design and implementation of data and analytics environments for strategic, tactical and operational marketing and management decisions. For this purpose, we use econometric analysis models among other things, which ensure the optimal use of the marketing mix for reaching and editing the correct target groups.

We explain and predict customer behaviour based on facts. These facts stem from the motions of the customer. This is where our name comes from: Cmotions stands for customer motions. Our organisation consists of 50 driven professionals who are all specialised in fact-based marketing and analytics. In addition, our organisation is known for its commitment, openness and transparency.

Be Cool Marketing

Be Cool Marketing & Sales is a direct sales organisation that specializes in coaching and escorting motivated people in sales and business development. We educate people in direct marketing for the bigger companies and organisations. Every client is able to use a campaign which envisions their needs and wishes. The clients get a high return on investment due to the use of direct methods, both in numbers as in quality of sales. We are specialised in different branches which include the Energy market and Fundraising.

DBK

DBK | Masters in Online Business is the online business specialist of the Netherlands.

We can offer value to our customers on a strategic level, but we can also take charge of the execution of the online strategy. Every choice that is made within this strategy is based on facts. 

At DBK the focus is always on our clients and for every client we work based on (provable) success. This way of working has led to an increase of revenues for many of our clients. However, our focus is frequently on optimizing profits and reducing costs. As a consequence, our portfolio is very extensive and diverse. Some of the companies that we worked with are WestCord Hotels, ANWB, Pharos Reizen, Corendon, Televizier, Noordhoff Uitgevers, Superfoods.nl, DVC.nl and de Sprookjescamping. For these clients, we have realized an increase in revenues of millions.

Currently, our team exists of 21 professionals, but because of our fast growth we are hiring. Therefore, we are looking for professionals who possess general knowledge about online marketing, but also aim to specialize in one area, so-called T-marketeers.
