"I heard about the MARUG being a sociable Marketing association with a lot of enthusiastic members and immediately became interested! I wanted to join a committee somewhere and decided to do this at the MARUG. Since September last year I became active in the Promotion and Activity Committee (PAC) and up until now I am enjoying my time at the MARUG to the fullest.
I became so excited that I started looking into joining the MARUG board. After conversations with An, Kim and Lyset I knew for sure that I was going to apply! I was most excited about the position Chairman because to me this seemed like a unique opportunity to learn a lot, develop myself and gain practical experience. The days between the application and the announcement were nerve wracking as I was really hoping that they would choose me.
When I received the phone call last Thursday with congratulations, singing and shouting from the current board members, I could not believe it. About two or three hours later when I was walking around the city, dressed as a lion, completing all different kinds of tasks, it finally started to sink in. That night during our social in ‘t Vaatje I was announced candidate chairman and I could not be happier to see a lot of my friends and celebrate it with everyone present! I am thrilled and cannot wait to get started!
