Hi!
My name is Anne Lukassen. I am 23 years old and will be the PR and Promotion in the 46th MARUG Board. I have been living in Groningen for several years now, where I started the BSc Arts, Culture and Media. After a year, I realized that it wasn’t quite the right fit for me, as I became more interested in subjects related to psychology and neuroscience. Therefore, I switched bachelor’s programmes and am now graduating with my BSc in Psychology.
I originally grew up in a small village called Borculo, after which I moved to Groningen to start my bachelor’s degree. One thing I love about Groningen is that, despite being a city, it has the feel of a small town. You run into people you know everywhere, and there is always something to do. Both in Groningen and in Borculo, I enjoyed being socially active and participating in sports. I did judo and gymnastics for a long time, and in Groningen I started rowing competitively.
The idea of doing a board year had been on my mind for some time. Over the past few years, I have enjoyed participating in committees, organizing events, and meeting new people. This sparked my curiosity about doing a board year, while also sparking my interest in creative and visual communication, in particular photography. Before I came into contact with Roos, I did not know much about MARUG. However, after our call, my interest in the association kept growing, and I really wanted to be part of it.
Lastly, I am very excited for the upcoming year with my amazing fellow board members, and I hope to see you all at MARUG activities!
