International Marketing Experience 2024-2025

The MARUG International Marketing Experience offers Dutch and international students the opportunity to visit marketing related companies in a city in Europe and get an idea of the differences with the Dutch business culture. During the company visits there will be business cases to solve, but besides that there will be enough opportunity to discover the city. Seven weeks prior to the trip, lectures and Socials will be held to gain more insights and to get to know your fellow students better. In past years, IME visited Milan, Budapest, Rome, Madrid, Bucharest, Istanbul, Prague, Barcelona, Vienna, and Lisbon. 

Do you want to develop yourself more alongside your studies, expand your international network and work together in a closely bound committee? Then the IME is for you.  

As a member of the IME committee you will start with the preparations 7 months before this trip. Together with the MARUG board you are responsible for the selection of the destination, after which the committee organizes the trip and the preparatory program. Responsibilities include contacting foreign companies for company visits, Dutch companies for the preparatory program, and planning leisure activities in the city. 

After the committee period you have organized an amazing trip for +/- 30 students. You visited a beautiful city in Europe, expanded your international network and gained many insights into marketing and cultural differences. You learned how to organize an event as part of a team and gained valuable insights besides your studies, which will positively influence your resume.
